PROGRAM
IN PERSON LEADERSHIP PROGRAM.
Helping young people grow into powerful changemakers.
Our Leadership Program is our FREE two-hour, workshop-style experience designed to help students build real-world skills they can use to take action — whether that’s in their school, their community, or the world. We cover everything from problem-solving and public speaking to team-building and creating impact — all in a fun, hands-on way.
STRUCTURE OF OUR PROGRAM.
Over the course of two hours, students will experience FOUR elements of programming:

Self Evaluation
Students will fill out a series of evaluations to assess their own leadership skills and abilities.
Multimedia Instruction
Students will be taught by one of our Leadership Experts as they utilize videos, pictures, interactive media software, and evidence based models
Our programs include play as a tool for students to deepen their understanding of the skills necessary for leadership development.
Our programs invite students to collaborate in small groups as they work through questions and meaningful leadership discussions.

OUR PROGRAM:
4 TRACKS.
Our leadership program was built with four separate tracks that students can participate in. A school or student group must select a track when they host Legacy’s Leadership Program at their school.
Tracks represent both a set of skills that students will develop in the program, and a service initiative that students will participate in once the program is complete.

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE?
Our Leadership Program was built on the foundation of four pillars that together, provide for a unique leadership experience.
-
Skill Building: Our Programs isolate and identify for our students what skills they are actively developing throughout each program.
-
Service Learning: The outcome of each program experience is for our students to go and participate in a meaningful service learning experience, from volunteering to fundraising to advocacy to policy making and more.
-
Project-Based: Each program is built to assist students in crafting a meaningful project that solves a real-world problem.
-
Impact Driven: Our programs teach students how to report on impact, so that no project or service initiative is done without measurable results!
WHO ARE OUR PROGRAMS FOR?
Legacy’s In-Person Leadership Program was built for 9th-12th graders who have expressed a desire to become a better leader in some way. While we believe everyone IS a Leader and is also eligible to participate in our experiences, the students who get the most out of our programs are typically students that represent one or multiple of the following groups:
Students who hold leadership positions or who have exemplified leadership in the following ways: Student Council/Student Government, Club Leaders, Athletes/Team Captains, Service Leaders, and more.
HOW DO OUR PROGRAMS WORK?
Our program requires us to have a two hour block of time with our students. Because of this, we run our program in a variety of different formats with a variety of different groups. Examples include:
Leadership Camps or Conferences, In-School Field Trips, Multiple Class Periods, After School Programming, and more.
