Our students consistently tell us loud and clear: mental health matters. It’s one of the top issues young people are concerned about — and for good reason. Over 6.3 million young people (ages 3–17!) struggle with anxiety or depression. That means if you are dealing with mental health challenges, you’re not alone, and you should never feel embarrassed, ashamed, or guilty for simply being human.
But here’s the problem: stigma still stops too many students from getting the support they deserve. And at Legacy? Yeah… we’re not having that.
We’re on a mission to BREAK. THE. STIGMA.We want every young person to feel seen, supported, and empowered to take care of themselves — mentally, emotionally, and everything in between.
In the past, we’ve teamed up with incredible mental health champions like The Steve Fund, Active Minds, and BetterHelp, working together to create accessible resources, safe conversations, and real action for students everywhere.
WHAT WE DO 🙌đź§
Legacy builds national mental health campaigns that make taking care of yourself actually feel doable — and even a little fun. Here's how we support young people:
🌱 We give students FREE mental health resources: Toolkits, guides, tips, affirmations — all the things we wish we had growing up.
✨ We promote positive mental health actions: Our campaigns turn small, everyday habits into big wins for wellbeing — whether it’s taking a breath, setting boundaries, or asking for help.
📣 We amplify student voices: We create spaces where students can share stories, lift each other up, and remind their communities that healing isn’t a solo journey.
đź’› We even connect some students with access to FREE therapy: Through partners like BetterHelp, we break down cost + access barriers so young people can get real support, right when they need it.
Together, we’re building a generation that knows their worth, prioritizes their wellbeing, and refuses to let stigma get the final say.
